Registration Process

The trademark registry was introduced in 1940, then the 'Trademark Act', which was passed in 1999. As a working body, the Trademark Registry follows all the rules and regulations of trademark law in India. You have to pay Rs. 10000 or Rs. 9000 for e-filing if you are not a small start-up.

  • Small Enterprises

You get Rs. 4,500 for e-filing of the form. A fee or Rs. 5,000 if you physically file the form. If done via online, the filing will be confirmed immediately, if physically, it can last for 15-20 days.

Application Status

After receiving the confirmation you will get the allotment number. When you receive your allocation number, you can use the TM symbol next to your mark.
