Overview

NSIC is the abbreviation used for National Small Scale Industries Corporation Limited, a government undertaking operated under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Mini Ratna constituted by the Government of India in the year 1955 is known as Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).

NSIC promotes & Promotes the development of MSMEs in India through various schemes such as single point registration, marketing support, and credit rating scheme for SMEs, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for NSIC registration, the applicant will fulfill these requirements to be eligible:

  • Applicant should be a micro and small enterprise with valid industry base memo or EM Part-II
  • MSMEs who have started their business and have done commercial production for one year or less can apply for provisional NSIC certificate with a validity of one year.

Registration Process

Enterprises engaged in manufacturing or service providers registered or manufacturing under MSME are eligible to be registered under NSIC. Registered MSMEs with Udyog Aadhar Registration can apply online or offline by applying to the NSIC office. Following is the procedure to apply online for NSIC registration:

  • MSME can apply online through the official website of NSIC by completing the application that can be downloaded online through this website.
  • Applicant can also apply directly to NSIC office by submitting the required documents and prescribed fee to the branch / regional / regional office of NSIC office.
  • Copy of Registration application, along with documents, is forwarded to inspecting agency.
  • On receipt of the inspection report submitted to NSIC by inspecting agency, it shall issue the Single Point Registration Scheme Certificate.

Required Documents

The following documents have been attached with the online / offline application for NSIC registration:

  • Complete details of plant & machinery installed such as date of purchase, the value of asset, depreciation, etc
  • COI, in case of a company
  • Form A issued by the registrar of firms to a partnership firm
  • LLP agreement in case an applicant is LLP
  • MOA & AOA
  • Self-verified supporting documentation for ownership
  • Declaration from the Director regarding non-connection with any large scale entity.
  • Bank report describing the financial status of the applicant
  • Complete list of raw materials, finished goods or in-process goods.
  • Company PAN
  • Audited financial statement of previous year
  • BIS license, if applicable
  • ISO 9000 (optional requirement)
  • Details about quality control equipment installed in the factory
  • Details of manpower including technicians employed in manufacturing department
  • Copy of Aadhaar's latest electricity bill

Registration Fees

Inspection fees along with professional fees are payable at the time of registration, after NSIC registration fee as registration fee:

  • Inspection fee: The inspection fee is paid in addition to the registration fee.

    • For micro-sized MSME: INR 2000

    • For small-sized MSME: INR 3000

Validity registration

NSIC registration under single point registration granted to MSME is valid for two years which is renewed or amended, which is valid for one year with provisional NSIC registration certificate given to MSME after expiry of two years . From the date of issue.

Benefits

Units with NSIC registration qualify for additional benefits such as:

  • Apart from the free issue of tender, additional items of SSI sector with MSME products are reserved for special purchase.
  • Entities holding valid NSIC registration are exempted from payment of the Ernest Money Deposit.
  • At least 25% of the annual purchases made by central ministries, public sector undertakings or government departments will be disbursed from MSMEs, of which 3% will be procured from units owned by women entrepreneurs, and 4% will be purchased from units Will go. Owned by SC / ST
